Theres a Plugin you can get for Maya, called
A.I. Implant, made by Biographic i think it is...
Gives your objects a form of artificial intelligence... and animated them if its a rigged model...makes a person walk around boxes and stuff..pretty nice...
But, last time i looked at it, the plugin was more expencive them Maya unlimited..
