Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

maya 8.5 rendering problems

Hi guys!

I have an assignment of maya to submit tomorrow!

everything is done and its working!!!

it only needs to render and thats it!
the problem is that when I do batch render for a sequence of jpgs

All the pictures render all black!
its like a black square! every frame!

the funny part is if I do "render current frame" (the icon) it renders fine!

but if I do a batch render its a black square of nothing!

can some pls. help!
this is urgent!!!

:attn:

are you using software, or mental ray?

do you have it set to render from your preferred camera instead of the perspective camera?

do you have global illumination, final gather, or sky/sun enabled?

one thing you could try is creating a new camera and rendering from that camera instead. (don't forget to change the camera in the render globals to the new camera you created!)

also, ambient lights aren't really good for rendering, you might want to try using another light... but that's an aesthetic thing.

what value is your ambient light set to, and do you have any keyframes on it?

can you give me the primary settings you have in your render settings?
