Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Chrome Texture

Hi all,

I was wondering if it is possible to create a Chrome texture from scratch in Maya? If it can, how is it done? I use Maya 2008.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

mia material

don't know if 2008 already contains that shader, but have you tried using the mia_material_x shader? there are pretty neat presets. i quite like that chrome preset. basic but easy


maya 2010;
mac pro 4x2.66, 7GB RAM, ATI 1900XT, max osx 10.5.8
