This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i
I tried to keep it simple and also i don't have the computing power to render cmplicated textures or lighting and for this one also not the time to do any texturing work. I'll record machine sounds in an old letterpress department on monday. I think sound is definetly important to keep it together.
thanks for the comments. I am just rendering the last bits in after effects. I am using AEF 7 on my mates machine, and I have to say it's lovely Adobe got the interface jsut right and especially the graph editor! Mmmmm graph editor hhaaaaaarrghhh.....
Also improved rendering for openGL is pretty quick. Recording some sounds tomorrow. I should be finished by tuesday. for now some more stills to keep you happy
one more. By the way this looks much nicer when moving. But that's basically it. Typeface is Chef-Dijon which is a very nice serif one. And I hpe I can show you the finished result soon.
@ matt,
I can see why you are interested in the film bit. There's not much to it. I bought some green paper, a black and white film and borrowed the most shite dv camera my college had (not intentional but I figured it out very quickly once I started using it) Put it all up in my room, lit and finally filmed it. The rest of the story is a lot of masking in AEF and that's it.
just recorded "machiny" sounds the only thing I need now is an old projector. And it'll all be fine.
wow really impressive ..I like this alot ...only crit alittle dark in beginning to see what was going on but we get the picture ... love the film and name coming in ...
Brilliant job farbtopf, in earlier posts you were saying that the sound would make it and you're right (although I do have to say that I love the animation too!!!).
