Use a mental ray DGS material (assuming your rendering with mental ray) or assign a reflection map to a high refectivity material.

when i used the DGS material on an object i could not see it when it rendered

Do you have a HDRI map in place?

If yes, try decreasing the specularity...sometimes if its too high it is so reflective it looks invisible at the edges.

oh and just to cover all the bases, make sure you're rendering with mental ray user added image

that's why i could not see it,cause i was using software
