possible to combine nurbs or subdivs?

hey guys, i was just wondering if you can combine nurbs or subdivs together? such as like you can combine polygons. or if anyone would know how to write up a mel script so i can just chuck it into the a shelf and have it as a hotkey...

combine nurbs with the 'Attach' operation. you can´t combine subDs. combine polys first and convert to subD.


everything starts and ends in the right place at the right time.
