duplicating along a path

quick easy question...

how do you set maya to duplicate along a selected path? the option isnt in my option box user added image

and if i remember right there isn't one. use animated snapshot in the animation menu.

There is a duplicate along path option. I've never used it, but one of my buds at school uses it a lot.
