Manipulators directional handles are too close together

Hey folks,

I am having a problem with the manipulator tools in Maya. The handles, all of a sudden are bunched together. The move handles are just about grababble but the others are right on top of each other, rendering the whole thing useless.

THis is probably something I have inadvertantly done, right? Please someone save me from my blind stupidity! :-)

This images should show what I mean...

Thanks in advance,

Cuboid
