This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Does anyone know how to render with command prompt?

Hi,

The presets in the render layer didn't work in heavy scenes, so I manually turned off "emit spec" and shadows in all lights, then I went through all the geometries and turned off "cast shadow and received shadows". And when I batch render that diffuse layer for just 1 frame, it only batch render 80%.

So I clicked on the maya file node after I set everything up and this is what I got as you can see in the picture. And I get the same result if I did use the presets of the diffuse layer.

I tried the command prompt tutorial from digital tutors, but I kept getting errors like internal and external errors.

I am trying to render from the D drive, in mentalray for 200 frames in targa. But I kept getting errors.

Please help. Thank you in advance.

hmmm,

Have you tried just rightclicking the scene file and rendering from that?

It might have some thing blocking maya, such as your firewall or anti virus software?

TBH the command prompt rendering has worked for me on several scenes so it must be something to do with your scene.

What errors are you getting when you render in layers, leave maya open and see what errors come up in the script editor?
