Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world

Transform setup, smart transforms etc...

Hi there,

is there a way in which I can setup a character rig so that when I select a transform e.g. IK arm - the translate tool automatically is selected. And, conversly, when I select a joint to rotate e.g. shoulder - the rotate tools automatically is selected.

Softimage has a 'transform setup' that can do this. Is there a similar way to achieve this in Maya?
