maya using only 1 core of Intel Core i7-920, 8x 2.67GHz
i already know i can shorten render time going to "Batch Render" and this works fine. It really istn´t a render issue, more a woking problem with big files.
hope to get some help soon

some more infos about my pc:
Intel Core i7-920, 8x(4x?) 2.67GHz
12gb ram
2x nvidia Geforce GTX 285
