Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Problem opening a Maya 2012 file in Maya 2013

I did all my work in Maya 2012 and now when I try to open it in Maya 2013 I can't do anything. It just opens up, but I can't play my animation. Is there any way to get around this ? Any help would be appreciated ? Thanks.

We would need more information to properly diagnose the problem. Uploading the file for us to take a look at would be the best option if that's possible.
Imagination is more important than knowledge.
