Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Help! Problem with UVs on lofted planes

Hi guys,

Can anyone help me with this?

I'm trying to create a poster with a slight ripple effect, like the kind you find slapped up on walls.

To do this I created two slightly different curves and lofted them together. It presented the desired effect, but when I tried to apply a UV texture the image was badly distorted.

I have tried with both nurbs and polygon planes but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas... please...

Cheers,

Dan

just do a planar UV map from above the object and apply the texture again.
