Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

A big hello from Bullet

Hi people,

to those that know me, I have not been active for a very long time. Many disastrous issues have plagued me this last 12 months, the worst being the possible loss of my big toes.
For 6 months I have been fighting an infection in my feet (from steel capped boots) which may still cost me my toes.

Various other issues have compounded and pushed me to the edge of life itself. I have been battling hard and striving to not let my inherent depression overwhelm me.

I chose (in part) to forgo most of technology etc and try to keep above the mire. I havent forgone nor forgotten the many friends and associates I have here or SL. Sometimes though, a man must walk alone and reflect, assess and try to make sense of it all. I am still on that journey and have a wee bit more to walkabout to level the mind.

I hope I can keep it together enough to be around more in the future. I will write some more soon, Im still here but have a journey I must take and succeed. I know a lot of you are there for me if I so need and I thank you all in advance. I am one tough, stubborn and smart Aussie, I also am a very broken man in many ways. I shall do my best to keep it together and mend the parts that have been disjointed.

Good fortune to you all until next time.

Much love and respect

Ant xx

Hello Ant,
I am glad to hear from you as I did miss you around the boards. I hope your infection does not take your toes and pray you find comfort and peace surrounding your difficult journey.
All the best to you,
Stuart

Thank heaps everyone....I appreciate it more than you imagine.

Well I went for a bone scan today, courtesy of hospital visit over the holiday period I have somehow acquired Golden Staph....cool huh? Im no nuclear scientist but the scan didnt look good to me.....lets just say left foot did not match right foot.

Hope everybody had a safe holiday and all the best for the new term. I'm hoping no cutting of foot....because....at 47 I pre-ordered (not complete) my first motorbike...... Honda CBR500R which can be chipped down to a 250cc for the 1st year probation then chipped back up to get the horses back user added image

AND if I know Aussie bloody regulations...any mod will cop a fee I reckon LOL. I will have to move the gear-change from the left side of the bike to the right. Don't think I will need an Engineers consult as its technically not structural.

Should get the final results on the hoof by next week if not before....I shall let you all know either way, its going to be a long hard road.

Cheers Bullet
