Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

help with animating a bump

K I'm new to maya and doing tutorials. I am using mental ray and the ocean bump to make a ocean underwater scene. I'm am trying to animate the bump by using time. I set a key frame at frame 1 and go to frame 30 and and make time 2 then add key frame. I did that process until I got to 120, but when I play the animation I watch the numbers of time and it stays the same user added image Is it just not able to be animated or is the something I need to do. One more thing. When I get this figured out, how do I make it into a move?

Bump maps are not visible in perspective view because the computers of today are not powerful enough to display them is real time. Your bamp map is moving providing that you animated it the correct way, but you won't be able to see the bump map moving until you batch render.
