This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

wait........can you be a little more detailed on how you made them.....I tend to make a lot of straps, and they never look good.....Im having major issues with straps for my monkey(I know that didnt sound rightuser added image), and It would be great to learn a better way then extruding edges and moving and rotating all the way around.

what you do is make the surface you want to trace live them draw a curve on surface. from there all you need to do is do some lofts.

ok, A loft........I was doing an extrude along curves for my eyepatch. Ok, Ill try that out. Thanks Guys.

Heheh.

The texture right now is a fractal combined with a leather file. Since he a creature i can just make a funky surface for skin.

I will be painting the color using maps though.


Update played wiht the surface a bit more not so bumppy

have the arms and chest mapped just have the legs, feet and hands left.
