Edges were made to be deleted!

hey does anyone know what's up when you try to delete edges and it says that border edges cant be deleted? I know something is up because i was deleting them before I extruded some of the faces, and now I can't. Makes it difficult to model.

You can't delete edge that define the border of an object. Pretty much anything else on the mesh surface if fair game. You can increase the border edge display in preferences if you want to quickly see if an edge is a border edge or not.
