Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

its just poly modeling converted to subD.
when i say freeform, i meant im not following any refs specifically. just doing it as it progress, kinda like drawing concepts.
just one thing leading to another.

havent had time to work on personal project. i will update soon. thanks for looking

nice work to say the least. the mesh flow is great and the character looks awesome. maybe give hime some kinda metalic hand or some thing like hell boy's left arm ( is it left or right)user added image .

here is the arm non-symmetrical,
ill add some stiches to the end of the arms to show it was cut off some how.

I like it man...
all aside from teh hand anyway..
THe hand looks good and all as far as how its modeled, but i cant get into the whole three finger thing... just doesnt fit the model to me..
But thats just me bro

i think it fits. i really cant pcture 5 fingers on him.

finally had some time to get the little guy done.

not sure if ill model armor and weapons and stuff.. maybe basic cloth.
