I'm not on my computer right now so I can't show you all any new renders til, maybe, tomorrow. But I wanted to let you all know, especially Michael, that I've decided to take on the daunting task of cleaning up my character. I'm removing a lot of the edges and verts and trying to make him look and work a little better.

Mike, you mentioned "edge loops" and "contours of the arm". What did you mean by that? LOL! I'm no dummy... just trying to sponge in all of this info whilst dealing with a lot of sleep deprivation lately. :/ Basically you're saying not having each edge loop be straight up and down?

Mr. Vector, sir... user added image I've tried the cube modelling tuts, one being a tut from polyextrude.com, and it's awesome, but still not helping me as much as I need. Any other suggestions? More on this gobbledygook tomorrow. I'm exhausted. user added image

New Update

How am I doing here? I've run into a few problems and I'm hoping I can remedy this pretty quickly. I managed to attach the ear to the head but Something doesn't look right where the connection is made. How do you all usually attach your ears to your heads? Michael M, thanks again for the help your tutorial gave me. I think I did alright on my ear but you didn't say ahything on how to attach it to the head. I know that's really something geared to a different tut. I love Crae's eyes and his eyebrows. Those are thanks to Mr. Keith Lango. He advised me on how he made his - quite simple method, in fact. One thing I keep seeing in my Command Feedback window is this: Warning: Displaying the first 1024 rows from a total of 1186. Erm, correct me if I'm wrong but... that's not a good thing, is it? :ermm: All feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks y'all!

any time you combine 2 diff meshes you'll need to make adjustments to make it look right. just spend a little time reshaping and moving some vertices around and it should look a little more natural. the ear looks a little big for the character. also the front part of the ear should be more linear with the rest of the head. if you take a look at your ear it's even with your head at the front and starts to curve outwards.

Thanks! :)

I'll give that a try and see. I kinda did a little messing around with it and I guess it's just gonna take some time. DL, his ears are supposed to be big. It's in the script. LOL! I wrote it that way in the description for the character to have big lips, big ears, beady eyes and big hangs. I know he's a goofy looking guy now but the ladies sure to love him. user added image Ladies man, as it were. user added image
