Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Turning wireframe mesh into geometry?

How do I take a sphere, for instance, and generate geometry based on its wireframe? How do I control the thickness of the "wires"?

Thanks. user added image

select each "wire" and run the duplicate curve command. The create a circle and extrude it along the curve. You can control the thickness by changing the radius of the circle.

Are you talking about a NURBS sphere?
