liquid/wax in container?

I have created 2 nurbs spheres that I want to fill the inside with wax. I'm doing a scene of my desk and I have 2 candles that are inside of glasses so I want to try to recreate the glass with the wax.

The two glasses in front of the lamp, hard to see, need to make them a little less see through:

I am a bit slow, do you want to create a waxy candle look?? I don't really understand what you need?

zoom in on the area that you are concern with so we can see it up close, we have this one above as an overall reference.

I want to create a solid wax inside the glass container. And possibly make it so I can melt the wax later on once I learn a little animation.. if possible. I'm still new to maya so I'm not completely sure how you'd create something like this.

use a blinn shader and colour it to what you want, you'll be working with the incandescence node

sorry about that?? I tried to fix the resolution but the computer is playing up, anyway mess around with that node for a while and see the results, (lights from the inside) you will be mapping it with a ramp later/now

when you first load the ramp you will have blue, red and green but change the colours of the ramp to roughly the same as the candle, much lighter actually, and put black on the bottom, you can key this node to animate it so it moves about with the 'flame' or whatever you need.

adjust the ramp, move it about, you will get the feel.
resolution messed up again, next post...
