Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

New site design - mtmckinley.net

Hey, guys, long time no see!

Sorry to be a no show for so long. Life has been pretty hectic, as it is for everyone I'm sure. Anyway, I've been laid off of my job, so I'm back to the hunt! Been working on redesigning my website, feel free to take a look! Pruned a ton of my old work out of my portfolio, so it's relatively bare bones now. But with my extra time, I hope to be working on personal portfolio pieces again. And I'll try to hang out here some more and answer Maya and Game Industry related questions as I can! user added image

Hope you all are doing well! And hello to all the new regulars that have shown up since I've been away!

Here's my site for those interested:
https://www.mtmckinley.net

Definitely interested in comments and suggestions! Thanks!

Good to be back. user added image

Bummer, this job situation has just gotten so crazy. For some reason I feel like it was not too long ago that you overhauled the site and I was pestering you about exporting Ngons to engines. The only thing that bugs me are the lossy artifacts on the images, well the Saw stuff anyway.

I was thinking just the other day, man I haven't seen Mike here on SM in a long...long time. Then today as I come here, Mike makes an appearance.

Sorry to hear about your Job loss. Hope you can get another one soon.

Dang, just heard back from an art test I did. Didn't get the job. user added image Hopefully the next one will be more successful. Here's what I turned in to them if you guys are interested. These are screen grabs from Maya. That's why it's a bit anti-aliased.

Looks nice. A bit clean, but nice none the less. I'm guessing this is a game-res asset?

Best of luck with the job hunt.
