in short, for specular just click the checkered button and it should be obvious from there.

for height maps you could do it as a bump map or displacement map.

there's a lot more explanation required for doing these maps, the explanation will be out there somewhere, but you can also give the maya documentation a try too

I discover a way to make a good height map just in this link: searching this video in youtube actually, Eat3D Maya Displacement Part 1 of 2

Is the best that I could get. And the specular is exactly as u said Chirone.

I'm was using the 3ds max and I'm changind to Maya, and Is really diferent each other, really. So I got this rampages, u know. Thanks dude.

all good. if you've learnt max then learning maya will be easy, its just a matter of learning how to do the same things you could do in max

I used this one...I couldnt quite get it to work but after looking at chirones answer I can get displacements happening and it has given me some ideas...LOL cheers chirone!
