CAD/CAM Imports

I was just wondering if its possible to import 3d CAD or CAM drawings?

At work I use AutoCAD 2000 and AutoDesk Inventor, and they both can use *.dwg drawings and others. And Inventor creates 3d drawings under different file formats. Is there a way to import the 3d drawings? (Not the 2d)
