Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
OK i unwrap it , get it into Photoshop and get a free texture of human face place it ... and then go back into maya , and move UV-s to match the texture ? Is it that right way
p.s I can't paint well... / My first attempt to texture head ...
Not sure but it could be that your UV layout in certain spots distorted the faces in a way that they don't match their proportions on your actual model hence the warping.
I'm guessing its because the face texture you got does not have a view of behind the ears, you could clone some other parts of the face and put that into your texture.
