Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

i am new 2 using maya. it is a very good piece of software. i was wandring if u could tell me how 2 create skeletons for cartoon characters. thanks 4 ur help in advance

read a bunch of tutorials...you really need to learn the software before you can do something like that

"Foundation" an Alias Wavefront Education book is a good start.
