Mistaken Identity

"Hi, Mr. Mckinney, this is the Austin municipal court. We're calling because of 2 outstanding fines, one for expired registration, another for a parking violation."

"Really? Wow, when did this happen?"

"Issued in May of '02."

"'O2? I didn't even know I had a violation in '02. Well, can you send me a bill, I suppose?"

"No, sir, that's why we're calling, the bill we sent hasn't been paid. Do you have a credit card?"

"Well, yeah, just a sec, let me get it.... Is there any way it isn't me? My name is Michael McKinLEY. Kind of a stretch, I suppose."

"We're you born in '83?"

"Uh... no."

"... License number ######"

"No."

"Um... white Ford vehicle?"

"I didn't own a Ford in '02."

"Oh. Well, I'm glad you asked then."

"ME TOO!"

lol

heh, yeah, of course, if it hadn't been early in the morning, I might've realized sooner, because:

1) I didn't live in Austin in 2002.

2) I didn't even own a car in 2002. :p

same thing happend to a friend of mine with the red lights that take your picture if you go through them...

The police mailed him a bill. and they supplyt he picture with them. Dont know who ran the plates but they had the first 3 letters correct. then the last numbers were reversed.
It happend about 2 towns over... and it was a short black woman driving... my friends about 6'2, 300 lbs... and whiter than chalk...

Good thing the system works.
