hey dude,
gr8 model and good texturing, a few points that i have, they're not crits, but i have been watching loads of documentorys in the last week and obviously mainly aimed at the big T-Rex, many of the paelentologists (i think that how you spell it) have come up with a pretty cool thesis on a trex, basically they are saying he was a scavenger, rather than a predator, and would have a huge red head, like a vulture, they also differ on weather he runs or not, but according to their bone scructure, it almost (scaled down) matches an Emu, and that's how their 3d models depicted them.
oh well, sorry to bore you - keep up that good work

I'd love to view your stuff, but you are doing everything for Windows only. AVI's suck for quality and do not allow others but Windows users to view your stuff. You should use Quicktime... it is far superior and you will be pleasently surprised at the level of your control.
In answer to your Motion Blur question... Are you compositing in a seperate program? If not, you really should.
You should render your TRex with no background for the full duration and then composite him on top of you film clip or image file. Also watch you lighting sources to make it look more like he is actually in the scene.
I tend to shy away from motion blur in my Maya renders as I get far better control and sharper imagery if I add the blurs in Combustion.
Hope this helps.

Oh yeah, I am not having issues viewing the images you are posting. the trouble is with your video posts. And .RAR files are even worse for cross-platform viewing. try ZIP or SIT.

well, I've finally finished. I'll put a few images up here, and I'll try to put something up in the finished gallery, but I'm really busy right now, making an intro for my personal dvd, and starting my first week of school at the art institute. thanks for all of your comments! and for those who want to know, this was render using maya 6.0 software renderer, and composited in shake.
