Learning surfacing ....

How can I make an object look like rubber or foam?

if you meen tyre rubber. just a black lambert. maybe with just a little bit of velvet shader mixed in. There are lots of difrent looks to rubber also. Maybe some pictures of what your trying to acheave would help. The foam, I'm not sure what you meen.

I don't really have any pictures. We are just experimenting at the moment. We have to surface cylinders and give them qualities of rubber (rubber ball), plastic , glass, wood, cermics etc. I was having trouble with rubber. So you think a lambert ? I was told a Blinn but, that doesn't seem to be working. Thanks for your thoughts Pony.
