Trying the method using the displacement, before giving up and back to split polygons.

I´m going to try the knuckles and skin folds in the fingers.

why are you spending that much time on the hand detail, if they are not going to be seen up close?

The hand was box-modeled in maya. Later, I´ve brought it as an .obj in zbrush to paint the displacement.
I was going to do the wrinkles in maya, spliting polygons, but time was a big issue.

Ironically, in my final entry I was in such a hurry, that I didn´t use any displacements. I ended up smoothing the poly meshes with subdivisions in level 3 and then I sculpted the drappery (with sculpt polygon tool) by hand, with my machine almost crashing without RAM.

If someone don´t believe on it, I can send the models of the nazy and his victim. I´ll see if I can post them here later.

Here is the nazi guy, earlier today, before "sculpting polygons" on his clothes.

I was testing some lights.

The head and hand of the jew guy.

The hand of the final scene is this.
No time for zbrush import/export procedures this time. Better luck next time.
