Screen shots and Short cuts?

I have two questions actually.

My first is if anyone knows how to take a screen shot on a macintosh labtop computer?

My second is what is the short cut for deleting all vertises that aren't being used?
As in, after having deleted the edges, and the vertises are still there?

If anyone could help me, I'd appreciate it!

as if apple would put a delete key on a mac, pfft. alll they wanna put on there is little apples and wierd squiggle lines.

For the screenshot thing:

"Check that caps lock is off, then hold down: Apple + Shift + Caps Lock + 4

Let go of the keys, and then click in the window you want to capture.
A file called 'Picture 1' will be saved on the top level of your hard
drive. You'll probably want to convert that to a jpeg or gif."

as for the deleting edges then there been left over Vertices. no theres no shortcut user added image

just select the whole lot of verts and hit delete, gets rid of leftover ones that are just hangin about, watch it on shape edges (like the middle line in an instanced object) otherwise it will bugger it right up, then again thets what ctrl + Z's for. (dunno what that is on a mac tho)

Also, I think if you pick an edge and then hit delete the vertices will still be left, but if you pick an edge and then select delete edge from the menu this will delete the edge and the vertices, but yeah, selecting the entire object and hitting delete will get rid of any extra vertices.
