selecting vertices

hi, is there an option that u can select where you can not select the background vertices like in 3d max. e.g so when i am trying to select certain vertices i dont accidently select ones in the background i dont want.

I think you have to turn on backface culling. Never used it myself though becuase have no problems selecting certain verts.

Yeah Archie, is right, go to Windows>Settings/Preferences>Preferences

Under the polygon menu you'll find back face culling, turn the option box to on, save and close.

You can also do shift + rightclick -> polygon display -> toggle backface culling user added image
