The Yellow Red and Orange Gradiant??

Hello Guys-

Another question to the forum. Ok I am making a simple selection with the move tool.

So the mesh has turned "Yellow Red and Orange Gradationuser added image colors moving sections that I do not want to edit.
why is this happening and how to I turn it off and go back to a normal selection?

You have turned on soft select, its in your move setting..........dave

I swear I did not do that. Man this program is driving me nuts.

Ok I just purchased the "Jerry Can" tutorial. I pray that it shed light on some things that I
' in the dark while using Modo.

I'm in 2010 and it was created with 2011 version . Man I hope the tools sets are not that different.

Ha Ha Ha lol my dam fingers are doing things that I am not catching. And the "B" key -button is right there by the friggin space bar lol I am hanging in there though.
