Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

If you select an object, pressing f focuses on that object. This will make your camera rotate around that selected object. If you are trying to change view ports (persp, side, front) press space bar.

I believe the square brackets navigate through the camera move undo queue... where do you get left and right rotation from?

Oh, I see... out of curiosity, is that in the hotkey editor, or did you write a little script?

Both, sometimes I need to float around to look at the model, so when I need a quick look I hit the brackets.
