Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

To give you an idea of the amount of detail I plan on investing on this the head is going to be cosiderably small compared to the rest of the body. Can't wait to post more of the body,
Brian

Man, brian the machine should be your name. This is amazing.. you make models so fast, and at such good quality. Really something to look up to and set as a goal in life... a neverending one. Great job.

Wow tons of replies. You guys are crazy, you really think I model that fast?? I know you guys can't see the little image that I have in my head of how I want this to look like, so today I am going to start working on the body to give you a better idea on what I plan on doing with this guy. Well, I work on it in Very very low poly, and then I am converting it to Subdivisions for the render/final model. Subd's are so nice! Like working with nurbs, but with the ease of Poly's. Just started using them last week. I will update it when I get a chance. Thanks,
Brian

That's excellent! The only thing I would raise is the mask at the front looks a bit like a filter / air unit, but doesn't cover his nostrils and so would be a little ineffective in that capacity. Of course it might be armour or something, but it just looks a bit odd stuck on the front of his face as it is. Lovely work though, can you give a brief outline of your technique?
