This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
I have a inkling that the size of texture on the tower, the concrete chipped texture, might be a big big. Looking at the scale of it all, it looks like the crumbly hole parts in the concrete might be big enough to put your head in. Perhaps altering the scale of the texture?
HappyLemon, you are so totally improving - from noobie challenger to this! This is really nice (glad to see the horrible Maya watermarks are gone now). Can't wait to see more, what you have here is outstanding.
I would have improved even faster if I have Orgeeism's organized learning plan.... It's a shame that I've been playing with Maya since May or June, and only last week I found out there is something called "UV maps" and what it looks like.... I went "Ohhh... that's what it is!" and desperatly trying to catch up.
TGG, dashing looking award you got there! Not doing it this month afterall?
I think if I could manage to win twice more later on, then it will be reasonable to move on to normal, but with so many talented follow mayans you can never tell, I can only keep my fingers crossed. But I am very supprised about what I can do, even with so little maya knowledge. The learning never stops!
Awesome work man!!! You have really done a lovely job of it all, but don't think Mike will want all the Terrain and Sky including in the shot, or maybe I have it wrong...?
