Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
Question...How did you set up that full image plane panorama to build this? Is that how it's generally done? Also, how did you set up that ultra ghost-gray lighting scheme if you don't mind me asking? I've seen it in places before. Is that like a standard level adjustment lighting parameter that everyone uses, but that I have no idea about? Or are you just really good at lighting as well?
Any pointers on that last part? Thanks. Just really impressed by your work.
Thank you TravisCowsill
I use poly planes to set up my ref images and keep them in there own layers, I think the lighting you are talking about is a occlusion render theres a free tutorial on this site............dave
"Your weapons are no match for ours! People of Mars, surrender!"
"Um, this isn't Mars. This is Earth."
"Earth? Earth-with-nuclear-weapons Earth?"
"Yes."
[long pause] "Friend!!"
Thanks Mayaniac
I know what you mean, this sherman is mainly cast metal for the turret and the hull not made modelling easy but that was the challenge for me..........dave
