This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

yes elephantinc, the skin has a maya ramp conected with sampler info to the reflectivity to create the fresnel effect there, and is a ramp going from 0 to 0.4, so I think it's to much that 0.4, im going to lower that down to 0.1 maybe...

I dont know if the specular map is to high.. but i think looks good...

And as far as the texture map, maybe contrast it a little bit more?

Well.. The desing of the weapon was taken from the art book of the warth of th litch king, I think yes, it was a axe, BUT, I made it more.. long? so I was hoping it end up looking more like a staff with some cool desing on the top where the magic stone is.. but maybe I have fail!

I think maybe if the staff is a wood staff, with wood texture.. I wont look like a metal axe or something like that..
Dont now.. maybe I have to change the shape a little.

well so my previous staff was more like an AXE! Sooooo i have to model another one. here is it.

The staff desing is from Warhamer online game.
That game has some pretty nice desings.
