You would need a 1000 watt ( or something over 650 watts ) Stepdown transformer to run the 120 volt Definitive Technology sub

Here is a link to a EPSON 3D home cinema projector https://www.projectorcentral.com/Epso...inema_3010.htm

It even comes with a free pair of 3D glasses.

Try using DUCTBOARD. It's ghetto but it works You will haft to cover the edges with DUCT TAPE because DUCTBOARD is mainly comprised of fiberglass.

If DUCTBOARD is not your thing, just double Sheet Rock the wall or walls in question. This solution just requires you to buy a couple of quarter inch sheets and screw them down ( one if front of the other ) to the wall or walls your trying to sound proof.

why not get a 3d ready projector since I already have a 3d capable graphics card? It seems to be almost 1/3 of the price of a fully hd 3d projector

This for example.

Also is there any necessary/noticable advantage of adding a Seven-Channel Power Amplifier to my setup. my receiver sounds great already with the speakers that i paired them to.

That projector will not work with any bluray 3D movie. Bluray 3D is a side by side format. The 3D ready projector your looking at is Frame sequential. Frame sequential, also occasionally called page-flip, is in some ways the simplest of the 3D formats. A frame sequential signal is a full resolution picture sent at 120 frames per second to the display. The frames alternate in sequence, so the display receives a left eye frame, then a right eye frame, then a left eye frame, and so on. This is simple because the projector itself does not need to do any decoding of the source; it just needs to be capable of accepting a 120Hz signal. Correspondingly, this format requires a lot of bandwidth, since it is essentially sending a full resolution signal at 60 frames per second for each eye. This is double the bandwidth of a comparable 2D signal.

Your best bet would be to shell out the extra cash and buy a 3D projector that can decode and play Bluray 3D. Also, better make sure your receiver is 3D ready also. If it cant pass the 3D signal, your in trouble.

Sorry murambi, I missed the edit to your comment.

Yes, there is a noticeable advantage. You will have cleaner sound. If Your receiver has a 7 channel preamp output, by all means use it. Make sure you get good interconnects ( RCA Cables ) to connect to the external AMP/s.

Power output doesn't matter, just stay within the power limits of your speakers. Most amps now are rated at 140 watts a channel minimum. Check and see what your speakers can handle and choose an amp that best fits.

Yeah, amps get expensive, and finding a cheap 7 channel amp is going to be extremely difficult. Thats one of the main reasons why I went with just a 5.1 system.

What kind of amps are you looking at?

499$ is fantastic for that 7 channel amp, too bad it's only 80 watts a channel. Any way you can borrow a friends Emotiva amp and try it out on your system? I recommend testing it before you buy one.
