About This Course

Beer glass scene creation

This tutorial contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop. We start by modeling the glass and UVing it, we then look at image based lighting and using Maya's sculpting tools to create the beer head. We look at displacement in Arnold and combining multiple displacement maps together into a single map. We also cover particle based systems in Maya for dynamic bubbles. This tutorial will give you an overview of the entire pipeline. Finally we look at splitting the image into render passes in Arnold, as well as render layers for masking. Great project for beginners if you want to see a scene like this broken into its component parts.
