This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

To anyone here who knows how to rig, please tell me how i'm going to begin rigging and whats the best for certain places of this rig and what shall iuse whether a smooth or rigid bind. for now i'm going to work on the final details of the office and texture it.

smooth bind definatly. And usually just binding joints, haveing IK's for arms, legs. a SDK or two for hand movement.

Ahh! Rigging! It is the devil reincarnate! If you have any cash to blow id spend it on the digital tutors Character setup kit or find a real good online tut because that stuff is so damn frustrating!! I have lost many a ton of hair trying to rig my characters

O and I hate IK's for arms it makes for not very natural movemoents, but whatev

are you going to use deformers on the shirt, i don't quite get what you mean using nurbs for the cloth, but then again i know nothing about cloth??

I think it would be ace if you could render the whole thing like that!!!

And if you don't want to, I'm sure it'll look ace anyway :p

One comment, the wire from that lamp, doesn't look like it hangs right... can't put my finger directly on it.

I love how this is coming along ..one thing I have to point out ..you can tell you are not in the usa .... look at the plugs and how you modeled them ..120 volts ... lol
