Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
heres a shot of the arm..its almost done i think...a few problem areas...need to work on the shoulder and bicep/tricep a bit..im fairly happy with the forearm..but well see...tell me what you guys think... : )
yea i had modeled the chest as a seperate peice..then just attached it, so it looks like that still..im going to fill that out nicely and attach it to the shoulder muscle the way it should be : ) thanks for the feedback though..any other suggestions welcome
ok, i think the chest/arm is done...maybe some minor tweaks in its future, but for now its finished : ) ive started on the abs and rib cage, very early, any comments on how i could improve it would be great, im here to learn, this is the first organic body ive ever modeled so point me in the right direction : ) here ya go
the arm is indeed a little on the short side: )...when im done with the torso im going to reshape it a bit with a lattice though, so hopefully that wont be a problem, thanks for the suggestion though! keep em comin
alright...a little more progress, finished the basic shape for the torso, and started defining the abs...lots to do, and so little time to do it : ) man i hope i can finish it in time..i gotta kick it into
overdrive...
Just having a peek in from the SimplyLightwave camp - see how everyone else is doing! Not looking too bad at the moment. I think the competition this month is quite tough! Just a quick crit - don't forget the armpit!
another update, defined the abs and built the base for the back...the torso is almost done..i cant believe it! : ) i just need to quit my job so i can finish this up : )
