Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

thanks it was a really quick thing and i was in a rush. i will try to make the things i will add a bit clearer. it helps me to understand too. a lot is sort of things i have learned put together and i am still thinking about some.

i will probably make a whole new scene using paint effects for all the textures but using the same things already done here. it wont take long to do something nice and make the textures as i go. the hard part is the imagination to make up something nice but within my abilities.

the ???, I was going to write something but decided i wouldn't and didn't know how to get off the page without putting at least something and so hence the '???'

i got in an hour or so between production, ect and i did this to make it clearer to myself and whoever

i made a new scene from scratch and made all the textures in paint effects.

this is importing into the 'scupt surfaces tool' and getting a result on a flat nurbs plane.

(all this is in preperation for animation without keying or expressions using paint effects)

this texture made the following result

cant see it?? anyway, i made a grass texture using the paint effects canvas and can see the deformed plane better. also, many already know but i made all the curves for the cliff and loft with one click using the duplicate options, sorry about the writting, it is supposed to say; 6 (units) in Y.

the deformation of he plane is from that other texture in the 3rd picture ago

this is the scene set up with the paint effects 'display' dailed down to 25 percent so i could manage the scene and not have it all choppy as i move it about.
