Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I finished Simba.
Now im gonna start on Timon.

Cool. Im looking forward to seeing it finished user added image and I really like how you've done the image planes, very smart. Im doing a car right now and Ive just started(only done the image planes) so I now it can be annoying for someone new(like me) to have to set it up so that the side of , say, Timon is actualy viewed by the Side View. with this speed, by the end of next month you will have pumba, rafiki and zazzu all modelled out.

So then it wont look like ecerything is just pasted on it...

Hi all i made some progress.
I made the body and havent smoothed yet, i will smooth when i finished the whole model.
I made this body completely from a sphere.
I extruded the arms and the legs out of the sphere so it wont look like the arms are just pasted on it...

Then i smoothed it.
But it smooths weird...

Think you might have either non manifold geomerty or some of your vertex's are not joined select them and join them together (in the problem areas) then try and smooth.

To test if you dont have them joined is to click on one vertex and move it an see it it is joined.

I didnt join some of the veritcles i see :p
When i join them and then smooth it works user added image
