little problem with mel script

$selected = `ls -sl`;
for( $form in $selected ) {
select $form;
string $name = $form;
int $count[] = `polyEvaluate -v $form` ;
select ($name +".vtx [0:" + ($count[0] - 1) + "]");
$nodes = `ls -sl`;
for($node in $nodes){
select $node;
float $pos[] = `xform -q -t -ws`;
move -r 0 0 ($pos[1]*1.732);
}
};
i'd like to move every vertex of the selected object based on their height, but instead of moving everyone of them it moves the object itself, any suggestion?
