Does anyone knoe which program is better for architectural 3d design?

MAya 8.5 or 3DS Max 9

Typically, Max. You'll find it to be the more common of the two in arch viz studios and V-ray makes rendering interiors a bit easier. That being said, there are folks that use Maya for it...just not as popular a choice. Max and Autocad are the standard.

Between Maya and Max its Max, unfortunately :p though AutoCAD is much better than both in architectural things ...
