Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I had this crazy idea of making the caracter from the Mortal Kombat game. I think you know who he is by the photo. Still don't know, it's Subzero man!!!

Do two paint jobs so you can have sub zero and scorpion. Could even make frost sprites and a mechanical snake thing. Then you could even do an animation of the duking it out.

thanks for the advice. I am a big fan of the game but to really make scorpion and subzero it's not as easy as it sounds because they both have similar costumes but they are not the same. The masks are diffrent and they have diffrent objects on their costumes.

hehe yeah, and an animation will be too much of a pain unless that's really what interests you. I'd focus on the single model itself.

the general forms are all pretty much in place. I'd refine the hands a bit more before moving on to the rest of the body though as they look like they've been left a couple steps behind.

This is looking pretty damn sweet!

I like the Wrinkles though they seem a bit Unrealistic in some areas.

You should use the Split Poly wrinkle trick to create some of those wrinkles.... this way you wouldn't have as many edges running up over the shoulders, though it doesn't really matter.

Looking good user added image

hmmm... i'm not really buying the way the nostril meets the face. it's looking a little too separate at the moment.

Yes i will tweake the nose. Anyway it doesn't have to be perfect because the mask is hiding a big portion of his face.
