Annoying! "USB2 FullSpeed"

In case you did not know about this, "USB2 FullSpeed" is NOT "faster" than USB1/USB1.1.

Here's why!

I was just informed by Canon.no in norway.

There is a difference between;

USB2 Full Speed
AND
USB2 Low Speed
AND
USB2 High Speed

USB2 FullSpeed allows a transfer rate of 12 Mb/sec
USB2 HighSpeed allows a transfer rate of 480 Mb/sec

Was I a fool or what user added image

edit:
Canon are to release models with USB2 HIGHSPEED speedrate, shortly. (just my luck) user added image

Alas my USB2 FullSpeed CanoScan Lide-20 (scanner) works just great, although I cannot seemt to get it to work with my USB2 pcmcia card. Canon confirms it is actually a USB2 scanner.

So now you know user added image

I paid about 70 english pounds.
About 700 NOK

Oh, and this model can scan vertically.
Which made me choose this model.

The canner is positioned in a 80-85 degree angle or so, making it possible to place A4 or smaller papers in it for scanning.

Of course, when scanning thick books/books or multiple photos in one toutch of a button, the scanner will have to be leveled.

Oh i forgot.
The scanner comes with a small stand making the scanner to be put almost vertically on a limited workspace.
