Flying V Guitar

ive been workin on this today..

i was just wondering.. how do u guys recommend me doing the strings... i thought jus using a cylinder and stretching it out the through the whole thing.... but its a bit difficult like that....

I would just create a nurbs curve for the wire, and then a nurbs circle, then extrude it.

Yeah, then just add a texture map of some spiraled wire and maybe even a bump. But for when the strings wrap around the tuning pegs. If you want them to be realistic. Make sure you have plenty of CVs. I really like this project. Looks great. How did you come across that topology by the way. Looks different, but also somewhat efficient. Conversion?

just need to do the inlays on fretboard and the headstock

the topology.. u mean the thickness and stuff
i just did it by eye.. since ive seen many of these.. and also grabbed a few reference images from the web
the strings i just did by taking a cylinder and stretchin it...
might not be the best way.. il try that extract thing with the circle...

With the topology, I mean the wireframe, and how it appears on the outside of your model. Like triangles or quads.
