refplanes.mel

Hi. I'm wondering if someone can help. I've installed the refplanes.mel to my shelf, no problem. It works fine except for the transparency control. When I mmb slide, the image planes go from solid to completely transparent instantly. Thee is no gradual transparency happening.
Any ideas?
I've already deleted it from my scripts folder and shelf and re-downloaded it and re-installed it and the same thing is happening.
Thanks for any help.

Follow up. I tried reinstalling it again, restarted maya, and it works.
Don't know how it got messed up to begin with.
Thanks anyway. I love this site.

Must be something else than my script. The slider controls directly the opacity attribute of the shaders.
